These terms govern Groundschool, operated by Wannabe Pilot LLC in New Jersey, USA. Groundschool is initially offered in the United States for adults 18 and older. Contact ben@wannabepilot.com with questions and read our Privacy Policy.

Educational purpose

Groundschool provides aviation study material and an AI-assisted coach. It supports learning and practice; it is not an operational flight-planning service or a substitute for a qualified instructor, official publications, current regulations, approved aircraft information or your judgment. Do not use coaching or weather exercises for real-time flight safety decisions.

AI replies and other study content can contain errors. Verify material that matters with authoritative aviation sources and your instructor. Progress and coverage do not guarantee durable mastery, exam readiness, a passing score, certification or fitness to fly. Groundschool is not represented as FAA approval or endorsement.

Your account and acceptable use

You must be 18 or older to use Groundschool. Provide accurate account information and protect sign-in access. Do not share sign-in links/credentials, impersonate others or access another person's account/data. You are responsible for your use and submitted content.

Use Groundschool lawfully for intended study and authorized instructional purposes. Do not disrupt or abuse it, bypass access controls, scrape/redistribute protected content without permission or submit unlawful, harmful or rights-infringing material.

Content and AI

You keep rights you hold in your messages/personal content. You permit us and providers to process that content as needed to provide Groundschool, consistent with the Privacy Policy and applicable choices. Only submit content you have rights to provide. Authorized administrators must have appropriate rights to contribute product instructional content; that material may remain after account deletion as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Groundschool and its licensors retain rights in the app/instructional content. Access permits the intended learning use; it does not grant ownership or permission to resell/publish the content.

OpenAI provides the third-party AI processing described in our Privacy Policy. Review AI output for accuracy and appropriateness. The updated app offers separate AI-sharing permission, refusal and withdrawal controls; accepting these terms does not replace that permission. Older beta builds may lack those controls; see the Privacy Policy and contact support for help.

Instructors, beta pricing and availability

Connecting an instructor requires invitation acceptance. An accepted instructor can view the stated progress summary and update your certification. Contact support to remove access.

Groundschool is free during beta and currently has no subscriptions. These terms do not create a billing authorization. Any future paid offering will disclose its applicable terms before a purchase.

We may change or interrupt features for maintenance, reliability, security or product reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or correct AI output. We may restrict access for misuse or to protect people, content or the service. You can stop using Groundschool and delete your account in Settings. Rights/obligations required by law are unaffected.

Changes and contact
